Ginger Dog Biscuits
1 cup (250g) plain flour (can use oat or rice flour)
2 tsp ground ginger
1 tsp cinnamon
1 egg
1/4 cup (50ml) milk
2 tbsp (25g) butter
1 tbsp golden syrup or honey
Directions
1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C)
2. Put all dry ingredients into a large bowl and stir until fully mixed.
3. Pour in the liquid ingredients and the egg into the dry mixture and whisk all the ingredients together in a bowl until mixture is stiff and springy. You may need to swap to stirring with a wooden spoon as the mixture thickens.
4. Roll the dough out onto a floured surface until it is about 0.5 cm thick, then cut into small cookie shapes.
5. Bake in the oven on a greased baking tray until golden (15 to 25 minutes depending on size of cookie)
Cool the cookies completely on a wire rack before storing or giving to your dog. Store in an airtight container to retain freshness.
